Set at the edge of the Tramuntana Mountains, Sa Cabreta goat farm in Pollença offers families an authentic taste of Mallorcan farm life. Whether it’s connecting with the adorable Murciano-Granadina goats, learning about cheese-making traditions on a guided tour, or simply soaking up the serene rural landscape on a visit to their bio store, this farm is a brilliant off-the-beaten-track family outing.
What to Expect Year-Round
Sa Cabreta is a delight in every season! Spring and autumn bring mild weather and an abundance of fresh farm products like cheese, yogurt, citrus fruits, and avocados. Late summer from September is a particular delight for little ones, as it’s the time of year when baby goats make their debut on the farm.
Why Families Love It
Pigs, goats, chickens… and cheese! Families will love exploring the world of Nicolau Cerdà Pons and Josep Sanchez Amer, two passionate locals who started the farm in 2019 to celebrate and preserve traditional Mallorcan agriculture. Beyond the farmyard animals, visitors can book informative tours covering everything from the cheese-making process to sustainable farming practices.
Don’t miss a visit to the on-site Bio Store, where their fresh, creamy goat yogurt and aromatic cheeses, including the award-winning carob goat cheese, showcase the farm’s commitment to quality and sustainability. It’s a hands-on, educational experience that’s as fun for kids as it is delicious for parents!
Make a day of it
After the farm, enjoy a picnic at nearby Cala Sant Vicenç (12 mins by car), explore the historic streets of Pollença or stroll Port de Pollença’s scenic (and wonderfully car-free) Pine Walk stopping for lunch at one of the many waterside restaurants.
