Cala Estancia

Family Friendly Vibe

With its soft sand and calm shallow water, this sheltered city beach (breakwaters ensure no big waves) is a perfect spot for families with young children.  Cala Estancia is located in Can Pastilla - just in front of the airport - so great for plane spotting too!  The area is full of residential buildings, hotels and restaurants, so the beach can get busy, but its blue flag status ensures the beach is well maintained and waters clean and safe for swimming.

Beach Basics

Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to rent, along with showers. A lifeguard is on duty in high season.

Family Fun

The clear shallow water and lack of waves makes it an ideal spot for families with small children to paddle and swim safely. For waterports head to nearby Bonaona for surfing and SUP rental, courses and classes for all ages.

Refuel

Plenty of choice of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. At one end of the beach there is the marina with several great seafood restaurants, alternatively walk along to Bonaona surf cafe for laid backed brunch / lunch vibes while watching the surf.

Access

Access could not be easier being just off the motorway. There are regular buses to and from the centre of Palma or you can walk, scoot or cycle down from Portixol (5.5km) . Parking is on-street in the little residential roads behind the beach. Easy access for families with pushchairs.
