Mondragó Natural Park covers a vast 766 hectares, with 95 hectares open to the public for easy adventuring. This tapestry of landscapes, shaped by centuries of agricultural and livestock activities, provides families a unique mix of natural attractions and plenty for all ages to enjoy.
The park boasts five main self-guided nature trails that wind through the scrubland, leading to stunning viewpoints, crystal-clear bays, and rich wetlands. Perfect for families eager to explore the outdoors, these trails offer easy short and hikes to breathtaking spots like Cala Mondragó, Cala S'Amarador, and Caló des Borgit. These escapist beaches, celebrated for their white sands and clear waters, are tucked between low cliffs, and are idyllic for swimming and picnicking.
For wildlife enthusiasts, Mondragó is a haven. The wetlands of Ses Fonts de n'Alis are crucial for various breeding and feeding bird species, enriching the park's biodiversity. Additionally, mammals such as Algerian hedgehogs, pine martins, hares, and genets also inhabit the area, contributing to its ecological diversity.
Access to Mondragó is straightforward, with roads from Santanyí leading directly to the park. With parking, picnic areas, public restrooms (high season) and plenty of information boards throughout the park, Mondrago is truly a family-friendly gem. There is also a visitor information centre open from 09:00 to 16:00 next to the carpark.
