Playa de Formentor is paradisiacal with its clear waters and views. Situated about 10 km north of Port Pollensa, this beach is stunning with white sand stretching beneath pine trees. The waters are calm and shallow, with high season lifeguards making it a safe playground for kids. It’s a peaceful spot that feels a world away from the busier spots on the island.

Beach Basics

The beach is divided into three sections, each offering sunloungers and umbrellas to rent. Prices can be relatively high during peak summer months, and there are showers and toilets. While the beach is narrow, the adjacent pine forests offer shaded spots for relaxation on warmer days.

You can rent pedal boats and kayaks, and the clear blue sea is also ideal for snorkelling.

Right on the beach, you can enjoy a meal with a view at "Restaurante Platja Mar" or grab a more casual bite at the beach bar "Bar Formentor."

Access

Parking is available (and a little pricey) but can fill up quickly during peak season, so arriving early is wise. The beach is also accessible by bus or ferry from Puerto Pollensa, making public transport a convenient option for families not wanting to worry about parking. The journey itself offers some beautiful - if slightly hairpin - views of the island.
