Family Friendly Vibe
Son Serra de Marina is a wonderful unspoilt sandy beach with isolated rocks located on the northerly end of the Bay of Alcúdia, between Can Picafort and Colonia de San Pere. At 450m long, Son Serra backs on to natural dunes and countryside wonderfully devoid of sprawling hotels, a perfect spot for a picnic or escaping the crowds. This beach is popular with nudists, is dog friendly, and you may see horse riders trot by from nearby Rancho Grande.
Beach Basics
Being a more remote beach there are not many amenities on Son Serra, sunbeds are not available to rent so bring your own chairs and umbrella. There are however toilets nearby and basic showers, plus one lifeguard station.
Family Fun
The beach offers golden sand, sparkling water and fantastic kite and wind surfing conditions as well as an area for beach volleyball. The coastline here isn’t sheltered and often windy so its a great spot for wave jumping or boogie boarding with the kids. When the waves die down, its also a perfect spot for snorkelling or paddle boarding.
Refuel
Popular laid-back beach bars ‘El Sol’ and 'Moomba' serve unpretentious affordable food and drinks to a laid back crowd.
