Updated April 2026
Set at the edge of the Tramuntana Mountains, Sa Cabreta goat farm in Pollença offers families an authentic taste of Mallorcan farm life. Whether it’s connecting with the adorable Murciano-Granadina goats, learning about cheese-making traditions on a guided tour, or simply soaking up the serene rural landscape on a visit to their bio store, this farm is a brilliant off-the-beaten-track family outing.
What to Expect Year-Round
Sa Cabreta works well in every season. Spring and autumn bring mild weather and an abundance of fresh farm products: cheese, yogurt, citrus fruits, and avocados. From September, baby goats begin to appear on the farm, always a highlight for children.
The Bio Store is open two mornings a week (Wednesday and Saturday, 10h-14h) and is worth a stop even without booking a farm tour experience. Don’t miss the award-winning carob goat cheese.
Why Families Love It
Pigs, goats, chickens… and cheese! Families will love exploring the world of Nicolau Cerdà Pons and Josep Sanchez Amer, two passionate locals who started the farm in 2019 to celebrate and preserve traditional Mallorcan agriculture. Beyond the farmyard animals, visitors can book informative tours covering everything from the cheese-making process to sustainable farming practices.
Experiences & Booking
The 2026 season runs from April. All experiences are by prior reservation only, with at least 72 hours’ notice recommended.
Guided Visit with Cheese Tasting Two hours, 35€ per person. Groups of 10-40. A guided tour of the farm followed by an artisanal cheese tasting, a glass of local wine, and access to the farm shop. The most family-friendly option.
For the more serious food end, there are two additional options: a three-hour guided visit with four-course menu (150€ per person, groups of 10-20) and a private tasting menu with wine pairing (200€ per person, minimum four guests). Both are better suited to older children and adults.
Make a day of it
After the farm, enjoy a picnic at nearby Cala Sant Vicenç (12 mins by car), explore the historic streets of Pollença or stroll Port de Pollença’s scenic (and wonderfully car-free) Pine Walk stopping for lunch at one of the many waterside restaurants.
