When to Visit: Spring and autumn are perfect for hiking and exploring without the summer crowds. Summer brings more visitors, but it’s a great time for beach days and boat trips. Don’t miss Sóller’s Festa de Sa Fira i Sa Taronja in May, celebrating the region’s famous oranges.
Distance from Palma Airport: 35km (about 40 minutes by car).
Transport: The Sóller Train connects to Palma, and buses run regularly to nearby towns and Palma’s main bus station. A car isn’t essential if you’re staying centrally, but it’s helpful for exploring villages like Deià and Fornalutx.

Not ideal for: Those hoping to hop between turquoise coves or spend the week beach-hopping — this area has charm, but fewer sandy options compared to other parts of the island.
